William T. Burke, Ph.D.
Dr. Burke received his doctoral degree from the University of Virginia in 1978. Following internship and residency training in Hartford CT and Charlottesville VA he entered private practice in Richmond in 1981. His interests include psychotherapy with children, adolescents and adults. He sees individuals , families and couples.
Laurie P. Burke, NP,CS
Ms. Burke received her BSN, MS and advanced post masters degree training as a psychiatric nurse practitioner through the MCV/VCU school of nursing. She is board certified as a psychiatric nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist. She has extensive experience in a variety of settings. Her primary focus is on consultation and medication management for older adolescents and adults.
Practice Specialties
We have a shared interest and expertise in treating individuals experiencing ADD/ADHD and the full spectrum of mood disorders including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder and post-traumatic issues. We are able to offer a range of treatment options including therapy and medication if indicated.
Our approach is based in developing an understanding of each person's life from a developmental perspective combined with an appreciation of relationships, internal cognitive and emotional processes and physical health in order to develop effective treatment plans in collaboration with our patients,
